Meet Alexis!
Hi, I’m Alexis Adams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Balanced Therapy & Wellness Co. With over a decade of experience in mental health care, I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, supporting adolescents, young adults, and professionals as they navigate anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. Additionally, my 12+ years in the child welfare system have equipped me with the expertise to help children, teens, and families overcome complex challenges. My work in this field has shaped my passion for trauma-informed care, now at the heart of my private practice, Balanced Therapy & Wellness Co.
My work is driven by a commitment to deepening my expertise in trauma-focused care and leadership, with a strong emphasis on cultural respect and understanding. I take a mindful, evidence-informed approach to help clients heal from past trauma, rediscover balance, and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. Whether in virtual or in-person sessions, I offer a safe and supportive space where individuals can feel empowered to heal and grow. I’m dedicated to expanding access to mental health care for underrepresented communities, with a focus on historically marginalized groups. Personal and professional experiences continue to drive my desire to create safe, supportive spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m continually exploring new approaches in trauma-informed care and mindfulness, ensuring that I bring the most effective and up-to-date techniques into the therapy space. In my personal time, I enjoy taking long walks and practicing hot yoga, both of which help me stay grounded and balanced—values I incorporate into my work with clients and communities.
